1. Submission of Papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit an electronic copy of a full paper that must be original, unpublished work, not currently submitted for publication or for consideration elsewhere.

Categories of papers:

  • Invited talks and distinguished papers

  • 10 pages in IEEE paper format. Oral presentation time is 30 min.
     
  • Regular papers

  • 7 pages in IEEE paper format. Oral presentation time is 20 min.
     
  • Regular papers

  • 4 pages in IEEE paper format. Poster presentation.

  • Poster papers

  • Only poster presentation.
    Authors should indicate to which category they submit their paper. Otherwise, the program committee will make the decision. The length of submitted paper should fit the category.

    Papers can be prepared as a Postscript, Pdf or Word document. Each paper must indicate the Topic Area or Focus Session to which it should belong and in maximum 5 keywords.  Each submission must include a cover letter containing the title of  paper, authors with their affiliations and the contacting author's name,  full postal address, e-mail address, telephone and Fax numbers. (If you plan to submit a paper to a Focus Session, you should contact with the Session Chairman)
     

    There are two ways for submission:

    Please name your file in both cases using the name of the first author as following:
        paper:      John S. Smith and Peter Cook. `FPGAs are the best.'
        name of file:    smithjs.ps      or     smithjs.pdf          or     smithjs.doc
        cover letter:     smithjs_c.ps  or     smithjs_c.pdf       or     smithjs_c.doc

    If you make your submission by e-mail, your e-mail must include as a plain text the following information: the title of paper, including the filename, contacting author's name, full postal address, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers. If you make your submission  by ftp, send also an e-mail including the same information.

    All Papers will be refereed by three experts in the topic area. All  accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of conference by  CSREA Press in Hardcopy. After the conference, authors of best papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in an  International Journal (The Journal of Supercomputing).

    2. Proposals for Sessions
     

    Focus Sessions

    A number of focus sessions will be arranged during the ERSA conference. The aim of focus sessions is to concentrate on the specific topics of a general interest.

    The proposals for focus sessions may be submitted at any time before the general submission deadline for conference papers. ERSA SC (Steering Committee) considers the proposals in the order they have been made. It is expected that the focus session will have at least accepted papers (In some cases the ERSA SC may make an exception and accept a focus session with a smaller number of papers.) This is the responsibility of the focus session organizers to have a sufficient number of submissions and accepted papers. ERSA PC (Program Committee) will  review the focus session papers and is responsible for the quality of focus session. The ERSA conference reserves the right to restructure the focus sessions. Papers of focus sessions may be  of all categories. Focus session organizers will participate in the final selection of papers for the focus session. All papers of focus sessions will be published in ERSA Proceedings.

    Focus session proposal should include:

    Brief description of the focus session

    An introduction, a list of topics of the focus session, and the importance to the ERSA audience.
    A short description (bio) of the focus session organizers.


    List of possible participants

    A list of possible participants, it is expected that the focus session organizers
    take a contact with potential participants in advance to submitting the proposal.

     

    Technical Sessions

    A small number of technical sessions will be arranged during the ERSA conference. The aim of the technical sessions is to present
    the results of ongoing  or recently completed research projects of  general interest. The proposals for technical sessions may be submitted at any time before the general submission deadline for conference papers. ERSA SC considers the proposals in the order they have been made. ERSA SC reserves the right to reduce or restructure the proposed session. It is expected that the technical session will have  3 regular papers. (In some cases the ERSA SC may make an exception and accept a technical session with a smaller/bigger number and different categories of papers.) Papers for technical sessions will be submitted by the session chairman at the general submission deadline. ERSA PC (Program Committee) will  review the technical session papers and is responsible for the quality of focus session. The ERSA conference reserves the right to restructure the technical sessions. Technical session organizers will participate in the final selection of papers for the technical session. All papers of technical sessions will be published in ERSA Proceedings.

    Workshop proposal should include:

    Brief description of the technical session

    An introduction, a list of topics of the technical session, and the importance to the ERSA  audience.
    A short description (bio) of the technical session organizers.


    List of papers

    A list of papers of technical session with a brief description of each paper and author(s) (bio).


    Chairmen of  focus and technical sessions  will be the Associated Editors of ERSA proceedings.

    3. Applications for Exhibitions and Demos

    A number of demos are planned for the duration of the MultiConferences.
    Interested parties should contact ERSA Chairman Dr. Toomas P Plaks: plakst@lsbu.ac.uk.

    DEMOS: Demonstration during one of the following evenings:

    June 21, 22, 23 (6:00 -9:00pm.)

    Fee: $1,000 (This covers reception meal for two in the evening of June 21, 2004).


    EXHIBS: Demonstration during one of the following evenings:

    June 21, 22, 23 (6:00 -9:00pm.)

    Fee: $2,500 (This covers * An exhibit space (Table-top) and One/two Elec. outlet, * One set of proceedings and an one-page advertisement will be published in the conference proceedings, * Reception meal in the evening of June 21, 2004 and all conference refreshments and breakfasts for two).
